Bunting is a folded bandana cowl knit flat in one piece using two colors.   Once folded and seamed, the two colors form layered points that create a shape that looks complex but is actually quite simple.  The first half is knit in assigned pooling aster stitches on a bed of garter stitch, and the second half is worked all in garter in one tonal color.  Bunting uses just two skeins of our softest merino-silk single ply base for maximum comfort and drape.  The pattern is reversible, so you can choose to wear it with a lot of aster stitches showing or a little depending on your mood!

1  skein of Flora plus 1 skein of Ramsay on Barker Wool Silky Solo, (75% SW Merino /25% Silk fingering weight, single ply 100g/437 yards per skein)  or your choice of an assigned pooling color paired with a contrasting tonal companion.
